Classical Five Element Acupuncture, a particular style of acupuncture is a living tradition that has been passed directly from teacher to student for thousands of years. This style is based upon the natural laws present in the cycle of seasons. Each of the five seasons (summer, late summer, fall, winter & spring) has a corresponding element (fire, earth, metal, water, wood). Each of the elements represents a distinct quality of the energy as it cycles through nature, the seasons, and through our own lives. Every living thing in the universe is made up of all five of the elements, and it is most natural for them all to be operating in equal balance. The five elements help create who we are and how we function in the world.
